Born in Charlotte, David grew up in Travelers Rest, South Carolina.  He was in the Air Force as a Security Specialist from 1986 – 1990, when he returned to Hendersonville.  He worked for 13 years as a patrol deputy for the Henderson County Sheriff’s Department, five of which he spent on the SWAT team.  David is a licensed private pilot and a licensed auctioneer who enjoys auctioning and collecting cars and antiques.  A member of Vision Jesus church in Hendersonville, a bilingual church body, David has been married to his wife Amy for 16 years and has five children, including two sets of twins.
